Dear mr. Stevie Wonder,
I live in the Netherlands. Just want to thank you for your music and your lyrics. It helped me through many difficult times and gives me positive feelings.

martinMar 31, 2002 (18h56)
I looked at the lyrics for that song but it wasn't the one. The line I remember very specific, I can even hear the tune for it.
Please keep trying everyone.
Thanks Ged.

GedMar 31, 2002 (13h36)
For Martin about 3 below......have you tried "You and I"

Hello Stevie,

Just stopping in here to let you know that I'm a big fan of yours. I'm trying to find out when you're going to release your newest CD. The last I heard on that situation, you weren't going to release it due to the terrorist attacks.

Enough about that, I'm just pleased to say that your music is truly an inspiration. I've learned a lot listening to your music. It's like everywhere I go, any situation I'm in, any one of your songs that's playing on the radio can relate to that situation that I'm in. I'm just so happy that you've blessed us (your fans) with 40 years of talent. Thank you very much and I'm looking forward to your CD release.

I need help. When I was a kid, I heard a song from Stevie Wonder that was incredible. I had it on tape but never knew the name of it.
I would love to know the name of this song so I can buy the album.
I remember much of it, but it was a slow song, and had the line 'this love that god has made for you and I..."
Thats all I can remember.
Please someone email me the name of the song.
Thank you for your help!

CubeMar 30, 2002 (18h37)

Stevie, you are a musical and lyrical genius and the depths of sorry i have personally felt at the loss of my best friend to drug addiction has been eased by the stumbling across the song you and I from talking book. Dearest Mr. Stevie Wonder,

Thank you. Thank you for giving the world your music and voice. You are our biggest talent. You give us hope for a better world and strength to continue in life, no matter how difficult it may be. We all have personal stories how you have touched our lives throughout the years. They are not what's important-what's important is that we have you in our lives, in our daily lives. I personally thank you and I thank you in my sister's name, too. You play a special part in her fight with cancer. See, we're more than just fans, we NEED you. And thank you for being there.

We love you,

Mya and Giggi

I have an vinyl album recorded live at the Apollo Theatre (1962) which includes 12-year-old Stevie Wonder singing "Don't You Know". It's titled "The Motor-Town Revue Vol. I" Recorded Live at the Apollo in New York, produced by Berry Gordy, Jr., MT 609. Other artists on the lp include the Miracles, Mary Wells, Marvelettes, Marvin Gaye, Conturs, Supremes.

Anyway, I have tried searching on the internet and can find no reference to this album. Can anyone help me locate information on it and it's value?

I am absolutely infatuated by the Stevie's song "Cause We Ended As Lovers" and have about 10 different versions of it performed by The Crusaders, Steve Lukather, Gato Barbieri, Def Leppard etc. I am wondering if anyone could tell me if Stevie recorded this song at any of his albums and/or how can I get a hold of his interpretation of this number.

Thanks,

Captain Zee

Hi I am a high school student in Washington State making a movie as a senior project. In the movie I would like to use the song "That's what friends are for" with Stevie and Dionne. We will not produce or sell the film, however we would like to submit it to a film festival, and we want to be legal. Who do I talk to about getting permission to use that song?

Thank you,

Reid Nelson

VongMar 25, 2002 (05h38)
Hi Stevie Wonder!
You are so wonderful. I wish you the best thing that one can wish for anouther, continued happiness. I noticed that you do'nt have the lyrics to Travelin Man on your web site. I have included them at the end of this message. Is the phrase "something that i haven't found, keeps me seeking all around" correct? It sounds different on your greatest hits cd vol. 2.
thanks, Vong
Travelin Man
Miller / Wells
Something deep inside of me
Keeps me moving aimlessly
Always been Always be
A lonely travelin' man
Something that I can't explain
Holding me from wind and rain
Wild and free and hard to tame
A lonely travelin' man

Travelin' Man
Travelin' Man
Got no goal got no plan
Just an old worn out heart in my hand
Travelin' Man
Travelin' Man
I'll get there anyway I can
I'm just an uninspiring tired out travelin' man

Please don't ask me where I've been
I've been alone through thick and thin
On the outside looking in
A lonely travelin' man

Something that I haven't found
Keeps me seeking all around
Moving on from town to town
A lonely travelin' man

Travelin' Man
Travelin' Man
Got no goal got no plan
Just an old worn out heart in my hand
Travelin' Man
Travelin' Man
I'll get there anyway I can
I'm just an uninspiring tired out travelin' man

Hi Stevie! I'm a big fan of your music. I'm 15 years old and I can't go a day without hearing one of your songs. I just wanted you to know how much you mean to me. Thank you for your beautiful music.

Hey Sevi.... This isn't an official Stevie site and its doubtfull he's made aware of its contents...unless through his lawyers for the Disco Dans of this world. (They can be traced) This site seems to be provided by "LAD" as a vehicle to promote his own stuff. It gives a handy forum though for fans to exchange views.
Re the album...it was due for release in Sept last year but I think Stevie is the kind of guy who couldn't not be affected by that. No doubt when it is released much of it will have been re written to address that hatred.
Also see a lot of people on here are going to play "Ribbon in the sky" at their weddings. We had "Our love (Let my love shine) a duet with Stevie and Julio Iglesias. Check it out for those occasions

SeyiMar 21, 2002 (21h11)
Stevie do you ever write on this site? I would really appreciate a reply to some of the questions being asked- like most importantly ARE YOU COMING TO LONDON anytime soon? I heard that you might be playing for the queens golden jubilee celebrations. Of course we'd all prefer if you did some kind of individual concert, but I'm willing to take whatever you're offering. Keep it heavenly, keep it spiritual. xx

Patti23FlMar 21, 2002 (18h37)
Helllo everyone!! I am a passionate fan of the great Stevie. As a music student he has besided me with such inspiration and beauty that it has taken me so far. And a question to those who might know where if any I might be able to send a letter to his reps or such. Such information would be very appreciative. Much thanks .

whitetornadoMar 21, 2002 (18h35)
Regarding the legal matter between Stevie and his former girlfriend, I have read that the next court date is April 21 and
that the judge has ordered that there be a mediator with the purpose of resolving matters by the court date. Stevie, if you aren't aware, is being sued by a former girlfriend. Now,he is suing her for taking $160, 000 worth of items from his home. Go to eonline.com or an entertainment site for details... Last year Stevie married for the 2nd time and has a baby boy. I'm guessing that maybe Stevie is waiting for the lawsuit to be resloved before releasing the new album. As for the John Q...

CubeMar 21, 2002 (02h25)
Surely There has to be a new Stevie wonder album in the making.

7 years is a long time waiting.
Come on Stevie you are very talented and blessed by the Lord with the world's most finest melodies, the world needs to hear them again

There are at least two recorded versions of "Isn't She Lovely" that I know of: One is a studio version that is about 3:20 in length. The other is a 6 minute and thirty seconds or so version that has talking and water running in the background toward the end. My question is: Does a version of the 6:30 take without the talking exist and if so on what album? Any help is appreciated.

Lakerfan -- I agree about the Nobel Prize. I also agree that he is like a
Guinness (not sure what you're referring to). Stevie is dark, smooth, velvety, delicious
worth waiting for the creamy top to rise. And makes you feel good. A good analogy!
He is truly wonderful. I really like Indie Arie's new song Wonderful
(dedication to Stevie Wonder). Peace. Love.

Hey, whoever can help me. A Ribbon in the Sky is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. I want it to be my wedding song, but my boyfriend heard somewhere that it's about a dead baby. Can someone confirm or deny this for me. Only Stevie can convey that kind of love, I refuse to dance to anything else on my wedding day! I love Stevie!

Hello Stevie, it's great that after all that time can do, I am able to talk to you. Computers and the internet are more my Son and Daughters thing than mine, but let's venture forth- just a little. My name is Shane Morris and I live in Australia, that great land in the Southern Hemesphere. Your music has been a big thing in my life, in fact I can remember many days singing along to all your stuff and I have to say, they were great days indeed. I am 43 years old now and I still do it. I saw you "in concert" many years ago; what a day. Like I said I'm not one of those computer nerds, but to think that you are able to "see" this, well, I have to tell you it isn't like you and me having a cup of tea and a chat, but still, it's O.K. Of course any time you're in Australia, you do just that, O.K.

HI Stevie I love you, I love your songs. I was grown up with your songs, the walls of my little room was covered with your pictures and I'm still singing your songs in my heart. You cant imagine how difficult was at the Soviet times to get your albums, even copyed hundred times and I still have them kept for my memores. I was even drawing your picture in my notebooks in the school. Right now I'm living in USA and I hope sometimes I'm gonna have chance to see you live.
I start to understand music with your songs and now I'm teaching the same to my son.
Thank you Stevie for giving me the soul that I have right now which I got from your music, thank you Stevie
for my English, mostly I learnd it from your songs. You made a sunshine in my life. You were always in my side when I was sad or alone, you brought some joy inside my tears.
For me you are the greatist musician of the century.
20 years I'm listening to your music and I will listen them till the end of my life. I hope someone will read this to you and I will be proud to get an answer and I hope sometimes I can see you.
Thank you Stevie you are a real wonder and god bless you.

Just want to remind everyone that even though the John Q soundtrack is not out yet, you can hear Stevie's new song, a collaboration with Brenda Russell, "Justice Of The Heart" by going to the movie. There is a good chunk of the song in the movie. It's a haunting and emotional tune that really fits the scene that accompanies it. Stevie's voice keeps getting better!

I thought I'd come back and leave another message on a positive note.

Hi, Stevie. How are you (yes, I really do care!)? I wish you would tour at least one more time. I'd do almost anything to see you in concert. We love you so much! Please???? I'm sorry I was born so late. I'm nearly 17 years old. But I still love your music. Please do another tour!!!! Come to Florida! It would make me the happiest girl alive! I love you, be well and safe.

Sunny

I was reading past messages when I seen one message from the user "Asshole". So this message isn't for the great Stevie Wonder, but it is addressed to that person who said that they hated Stevie Wonder:

If you hate Stevie Wonder so much, what were you doing on his site???? And another thing. What would possess someone to do something like you did? You just decided to come on Stevie's site just to say that you hate him? Get a real life, jerk. Don't you have better things to do, nimrod? Stevie Wonder is one of the greatest icons of all time. To me, he's in the same category as Micheal Jackson. Instead of wasting time leaving that stupid message, you could have been reading his biography or something. You can learn a thing or twenty from this brilliant man. He's a better person than you'll EVER be. If you hate him, I'm sure he doesn't like your ass that much either. I don't know if you're male or female, but that doesn't matter, now does it? Guy or girl, you're still a JERK.

P.S.- Thanx for choosing the username "asshole", because it suits you!

Stevie Wonderful,
You are one of Gods most blessed children and his light shall shine upon u now and forever more. Your music is a candle sent from heaven to guide people such as myself, through darkness into the light. Your music has brought me from a place where only darkness lies and I thank u so much. Please do not be modest and except these words spoken from a true heart. I love you Stevie Marvelous.

As a volunteer (I helped pass out stuff to the spectators as they arrived and clean up the bleachers after they left), I was able to attend the Paralympics Opening Ceremony in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Stevie Wonder performed 5 or six of his top hits at the end of it. He was totally awesome!! While he has been one of my favorite performers since as long as I can remember (40 some years give or take a few) I gained a new respect for him last night. He followed Winona Judd who was pretty good but only performed her last two songs in a slight drizzle. Stevie was getting wet through his whole performance. The rain and snow was comming down heavy by his second song and the sound system was getting wet, providing us with a rather unique rendition of it. He kept on going while the crwe ran about taking care of the problems.

By the end of the song things were back to normal (as well as can be with rain dripping off your chin and instruments

He led the audience in a little improptu ditty, something like, "We don't mind the rain." Over and over he sang, encouraging us to sing along. The rain slowed down but kept comming and the snow disappeared.

On with the show! A few more songs, then another rain song with the audience. Somethng like, "It may be raining on the outside but inside there is sunshine."

While Winona had maybe a third of the audience swaying and singing along, by the end of Stevie's performan

Thanks a lot Dez, Do I do was the song i was looking for. Monsieur Wonder is a Genious. One of the best American Ambassador.

Working night shift in the high tower of Montreal in the mid 80, alone on the 17th floor looking at all the light of downton made me feel blue... listening to night shift from the Comodore and do i do from Stevie really helped me to feel connect with the best of life and passes each 12 hours shift.

Regards to all Stevie Fans.

Pierre from Montreal

Hi Stevie!!! I just conected to say how much you are good!!! One of the best musicians of the world!!

DezMar 4, 2002 (02h03)
Maria,
There are so many Stevie Wonder albums out there (35 to 36 or so) that its hard to choose. My suggestion is to go for the 70's albums, you can't go wrong. "Isn't She lovely" can be found on the album "Songs in the keyt of life.'

DezMar 4, 2002 (01h59)
Today, March 3rd , is the 30th anniversary of Stevie 's album "Music of my mind". He released this album on March 3, 1972. My favorite song from this album is "Superwoman (Where were you when I needed you)".

ZukaMar 3, 2002 (23h29)
Oh there are so many great songs from Stevie, it's almost impossible to chose favorites. I remember the time, when the video "For Your Love " was on MTV for the first time, I was bewiched. I was already 15, and I went like: hey why didn't my parents told me about this guy before?!?

I think the video you are talking about is "Do I do" from 1982. If you go to Motown's web site they have a short portion of that video.

PierreMar 3, 2002 (01h26)
Hello, i would like to find the title of a song; a video was made where african people are dancing traditionnal dance (probably done in africa ?)done between 1985-1992. Very groovy music with good rythym. Help

the song is so incridible, it's as if she is reading our mind and saying

briliant because her idol is stevie wonderful.

Hi everyone!
I am like most of you a fan of Stevie Wonder, probably the greatest musician of the
20th century. Anyway, maybe anyone has the answers to some of my questions...
1. Is there a new Wonder album coming? I read somewhere that he was working on something
due for September 2001, but that doesnt seem to have been released...

2. I just heard Elton Johns quite new song "Dark Diamond". Is it Stevie who is playing the harmonica..
I sounds like it...and there is not anyone that I know of who can play the harmonica like Stevie, so I though it must be him..

3. As I live in Europe, I could get to see the grammy awards, but I read that he appeared..What did he do, did he perform?

Thanx!

smalltownwvMar 2, 2002 (05h24)
stevie you are wonderful! as a 26 yr old black female living in charleston west virginia it is very hard to keep your head up. but your music makes it so much easier to get through the day. you give me the inspiration that the churches seem to lack these days. there is no artist today who's cd i would buy before yours or who i love more than you. i love your essense. i feel like i know you. i feel your spirit, which is good and about bringing peace to the world. one new artist that i like is india arie. just something about her spirit. when i found out she was a fan of yours i loved her even more. the song she wrote about you is exactly how i feel about you. keep writin beautiful songs and singing of peace and a world that should be. THANK YOU STEVIE. YOU ARE LOVE.

nimm2Mar 2, 2002 (05h15)
Thank You ! For Your Love was the correct song !! =)

DezMar 2, 2002 (01h26)
I believe the video you are refering to is "For your love" from "Conversation Peace"

nimm2Mar 1, 2002 (13h57)
ok .. i just heard a really good Stevie Wonder song on MTV ... BUT I DON'T REMEMBER THE TITLE !! OMG I was ssssssooooo angry at my memory !
ok ... the m/v is Stevie in a desert with children and i *think* the title has the word "love" in it (and there were certainly a lot of it in the lyrics)

btw ... got a nice surprise while watching the grammys , I didn't know Stevie was coming on !

Love ya Stevie ! =)
