Dear Stevie,
I am writing to let you know that I am one great fan of yours, right from my childhood days.I always pray for you when I was young, but right now I wish beyond all things that you may receive your sight,I know that you will be to do more and to be able to see things and people that your music has been able to touch. This is personally for you...why not come down to my country to meet with a man of God who God has been using to gain their sight and healing,so many people from europe, america and all parts of the have been coming to receive their healings,I can send you a videotape of these healings,I believe that same God can also do it for you.
WITH REAL LOVE...STEVIE

On Billy Joel's last album there are four CD's of his greatest hits and on the 4th CD , its mainly him doing an interview at a music university.
Its great as he sits down on the piano and explains how he writes his tunes and gives a ferw demonstration tracks.
Its brillant.
I really wish there was something of Stevie on this vain where he'll sit with a small audience and sing a few numbers with just him , his voice and the piano.

Billy Joel really delivered nicely vocally and I'm sure stevie would be mind blowing on this approach.

can you spare some time to tell me what you think about the stigma attached to people living with HIV/AIDS? the stigma is really bad in africa and in our quest to minimize if not eradicate it we are getting the opinion of world celebrities about the stigma.Yours is highly appreciated.
Thanks

It actually did have the words "heavenly eyes" not "ebony eyes." My search continues.

Any one living in England that is looking for Stevie Wonder sheet music, the music shop in Windsor has a few books with all the most wonderfull songs in.
Have you all heard Stevie's version of "Redemption Song", he done it as a tribute to the great Bob Marly, he sings it like an angel, Stevie is truly the most talented musician the world has ever seen and will ever see.

You are in my eyes the greatest artist. It brought tears to my eyes to hear so many people ruin your music at your tribute done by BET, but then like an angel from the sky Jill sang I DONT KNOW WHY, which happens to be my favorite and the whole show was redeemed. I wish you would make a longer version of this favorite of mine. I love you Stevie!

PhilApr 27, 2003 (10h46)
I'd like to say a few words about your greatest, and most misunderstood album. From the first synthesized notes of the slow 5/4 time of "Earth's Creation", I was hooked. The first three instrumental cuts shows an uncanny sense of orchestration. The songs on Secret Life of Plants just ache with heartfelt emotion. I still cry when I hear "Send One Your Love", "Black Orchid", and "Race Babbling". The latter is perhaps the most mind-blowing song. The harmonic motion, particularly in the interludes, is most progressive. The Venus Flytrap tune mixes jazz and whimsy sublimely. I should also mention that in every track, you can hear the main theme in one variation or another. And the finale is a masterful pastiche of every cut. Usually, when people don't like a given music, it's because the music isn't what people expected or wanted it to be. When that happens, it usually takes 20 years for people to come around, and accept the music on its own terms. It happened to Miles in the early 70's, and people are just now lionizing albums like "On The Corner", and "Big Fun". So is the case of "...Secret Life of Plants". I play tracks from this album often on my radio show; that and your version of Schubert's "Ave Maria", and I can assure you, people are indeed digging it. Thank you, Stevie, for pulling out all the stops for this extraordinary movie soundtrack. That reminds me, has the movie come o

Queridos Wonderianos:
Me encantaria saber si sale este año el nuevo disco de Stevie, ya que el tributo me pareció realmente malo. El unico tema bueno es El de Eric Clapton y el de el hijo De Marley.

My girlfriend thinks I'm crazy, so do most of my friends, but to me there are no sweeter sounds than those created over the years by Stevie. I just wish the whole world could get a copy of songs in the key of life; it would be a better place. SO much talent, and so much passion, what a beautiful culmination of the two! I just wish that I could see him in concert once. I'm only 22, so I know the time to do so is dwindling. Please Stevie, do another tour!

HugoApr 25, 2003 (00h01)
nickSoulWonder: I went to a record store yesterday, and they had a copy of the ballad collection, so I listened to "If ever", and I think it's a very good song, very beautiful! :)

I'm actually writing a paper on Stevie Wonder and his music right now, and I was writing about "Summer Soft" last night, discussing the many modulations at the end of the song(actually it's more like half the song, so..). You see, I feel like these modulations kind of expresses the lyrics(and she's gone / and he's gone), because each time he sings those lines, it is in a different key, meaning something new, different, and that we've left the old key behind, and in the lyric we've come to a new season, a new time. The modulations also function as a "refresher" and they kind of underline the lyrics... anyone have any comments on this one??

CubeApr 24, 2003 (21h05)

the song your looking for is in the album 'Songs in the key of life' and the track is called,'Ebony Eyes ' I believe.

Hi Stevie! I heard a song on my satellite dish this morning that was recorded by you in the 70s but I don't know the title., all I know is that in the lyrics it had the words "Heavenly Eyes" and I was really moved by the song. It felt like a divine intervention and I really hope I can somehow get a copy of it. Could you please give me the title and the album?

CubeApr 23, 2003 (20h43)
has anyone out there have any update regarding the new album release.
I've heard it was set for release on may 13th but there is only a few weeks away and still no title or single release, surely there must be some new info soon.

I agree "Wereabouts" is fantasic, get the whole album it is amazing, i have a vidio of Stevie playing the drums to " I Wish", i am a drummer my self and i think he is amazing. Have you all heard " If ever" he wrote it for Jhon Denver and it is on Stevie's Ballad Collection album, it is possibly the greatest love song in the world along side "For Your Love", "These Three Words", "Overjoyed", and not to forget "Loves In Need Of Love Today". Let us know if you have heard it, tell us what you think.

ah! I think this is a great site with all the lyrics and stuff. any news about the new album? I'm really excited!! Anyway; I don't own "In Square Circle" yet, but I have downloaded a couple of songs from it(mp3), and I just heard "Whereabouts", and I totally love it!! It's a shame that I wasn't released as a single, it would have been a big hit, don't you guys agree with me?
Another interesting thing I've been thinking about is the drum machine-discussion here on the Forum...I don't know really, what I think about it..but one thing is for sure: WE WANT STEVIE PLAYING THE DRUMS! agree? :)

ShirleyApr 21, 2003 (20h17)
Stevie,
I remember seeing you on the Ed Sullivan show, (I think), my sister told me you couldn't see. Being a little girl, couldn't understand it. I watched you in amazement, thought it was neat, wondered, (no pun intended), how you felt about not being able to see. Through out my life I would see you on t.v. shows, interviews, or hear your music, and still think about how you feel about not being able to see. At the age of 24, (I am now forty something), I was diagnosed with Retinitus Pigmentosa. I went through the usual testing, etc. knowing that there is not cure for this disease. They told me I would lose my eye sight and it was just a matter of time. To make a long story short, I no longer ask how you feel about being blind. I still look, (ha, ha) at you in amazement, and also as source of inspiration. I look at what you have accomplished in your life and realize everyone whether they can see or not still have everyday difficulties, (bills, work, etc.).
I have been happily married for the past 13 yrs. and have a 22 year old son, (from previous marriage), and am greatful that these two would want to be a part of my life knowing that it was soing to be difficult. They have stuck by me, and given me help when I need it. (which is most of the time). I can't see out of my right eye, and the range of vision in the left eye is 30-20. I don't drive anymore, and it takes me longer to do things. I take care of my mom sometimes, (She is going due to diabetes

Hallo -I am a great fan from Stevie Wonder, i have seen him in vienna three times ago, in the years 1981, 1984 and 1989. In the concert from 1989 he presented a song named "Why" -a beautifull song,
My questions were, why was this song not published till now, when will come out a new album , and when I can expect to see him in Vienna again. In looking forward to an answer. Many greetings from Austria.
pHs.
The best wishes to Stevies 53. Birthday at May the 13.

Back in the late 60's, Bill Cosby and Stevie Wonder combined on a song with Bill talking about a "Little Old Man" and the rest of the song was "Uptight (Everything's Alright)". I was wondering if I could get a copy of the song, or at least the lyrics. I haven't heard the song in years, but I still remember the first part of it.

Thanks, Mike

Dear Stevie,
Your music was introduced to me as a child back in the '70's. You always knew when it was Wednesday (that's when it was your day on the 8-track or record player) or when my parents had something deep and political on their minds, your music was there to wake up their conscience, help them cope, give encouragement, or just simply help the day go along. I have so many memories of seeing you in different things, but what sticks out the most is when I saw you groovin' with Grover on Sesame Street. Stevie, you were all right with me. I can honestly say that I have no favorite Wonder song. Heck, a true fan couldn't. I LOVE them all. Just as my parents, your music has played an important aspect in my life--all 33 years. Through both good and bad times. And now, at a jubilant time. I'll be getting married in November '03, and because both my fiance' and I live your music, we've themed our wedding "Wonders of Love." I'm not coming down the aisle on "Here Comes the Bride." Naw, for me it's got to be Stevie. Thanks for being the "Wonder" that you are.
Sincerely,
Monica Joy Mayo

Hey Stevie, its me B. Cuz. As my mentor and musical icon, I am asking you for guidance. I am a loan officer by day and a student of everything "Stevie" by night. Sometimes I don't feel like I have enough time to pursue the music you and I both love. To make matters worse, people have made fun of me saying that a white guy that plays the guitar and can see, can't possibly be the protege of Stevie Wonder. I retort with my favorite verse of "Ebony and Ivory," but they still don't understand. What should I do? By the way, Songs in the Key of Life changed my life.---B. Cuz

Your absolutly right 'Another Musician ,that that track,'With Each beat of my Heart ' is excellent and the vocals a carefuly crafted , I played this song to a freind and he thought the harmonies were Take Six , i informed him no it was Stevie, very beautiful harmonies and tight , even the vocal dips are tight.
I hope we get a touch of this excellent crafted work on his new album. i am sure its going to be a winner and I believe after this Easter break is over there will be some new news, I saw on a japanees site there are advertising the album and a single but still no title but it was stated for a release in may plus there will be bonus tracks on the album.
Some hopeful news for us die hard fans.

Dear Mr Wonder.
This sounds stupid as I listen to your music for more than 25 years; your songs are like the daily bread n butter.
So i dare say "stevie'.

what to tell on this forum about your music; it changed my life indeed and was the start for a still ongoing musical adventure. starting with SITKOL -i remember the first time listening to it, couldn t speak at all.

Over the years your music took me to sir duke and his music (thanks to my dad who had a lot of his albums) ray charles of course, it took me to swing, bebop (monk)freejazz retro bigband ... you name it. And still i keep on returning to your albums, which give me the shivers... I even fell in love with the women i still love and got married with listening to your songs. Now I play my kids your albums. What i hope for? To hear and see you perform live again (if it is not this decade the next decade will do fine!) to hear the rumoured tracks you made which are still in the vaults (i especially like to hear the taped performances with Ella & Basie).
For the short time (2005 is ok with me) a new album would be nice.
Anyway, a zillion thnx

PS if you need a place to stay, mi casa es su casa

Hello everybody. Just wanted to take a minute and talk about the beauty of "With Each Beat Of My Heart". EVERYTHING about that song is perfect! From the lyrics (secretly...I've been admiring you intensely...so much so that I'd like to settle down with you and make a home). The melody is infectious. The vocals are detailed to perfection. And the harmonica solo is powerful...almost vocal-like.
Naturally, the descriptions I just gave for that song can be applied to a dozen others by Stevie, but hey!!

Hello, did you know that...? Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five made a song called Dreamin' (A Tribute to Stevie Wonder) back in 1981. Not a hip-hop song at all.
If anyone is interested. Contact me. Peace.

Hello Stevie. You're simply the best one! Last night on the radio I heard one of your songs but unfortunately I didn't get the title. Your discography is huge! Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Rome-Italy. I caught some lyrics like "look at the clouds in the sky.. they seem so happy now...". PLEASE, TELL ME WHAT'S THE SONG I'M TALKING ABOUT. THANKS IN ADVANCE. LOTS OF LOVE, G.

later that week and FINALLY my mom told me to go the record department and put the Stevie Wonder album in my bascart as a reward for my good grades. People you should have seen how happy I was. My whole trip home was so joyous!!!!! I took the wrapping off the album and started reading the lyrics from the lyric booklet. I was so ecstatic!!!

When I got home, I immediately put the album on and listen to it. My mom was in the kitchen cooking a meal. She just closed the kitchen door to the entertainment room...so that I wouldn't have any outside distraction. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN....this is the day I fell in love truly with music. Up to that point, I've heard all those great 70's songs on my medium-sized AM/FM radio, but I never had an album to just listen to besides listening to my parents stuff. When I first heard "Love's In Need Of Love Today"(this song came to mind immediately after the Sept. 11th tragedy) I cried...I can't even front about that. "Village Ghetto Land" blew me away too. "Contusion" was so awesome. Well I'm not going to ramble on about the greatness of this record. But the day I first heard this record was the day I fell in love with music. Later on my parents let me stay up(even though I had to go to school the next day) to watch Stevie rack up at the Grammy Awards for this album.( I saw him in concert in Nov of 1988(at the Fox Th

Why I now call him SIR STEVIE!!!

I have posted here a few times before, but I would right now like to give my testimony on how Stevie became my first ever musical hero.............

The first album I ever owned was "Songs In The Key Of Life" back in 1977. My parents bought this album for me after bugging her on several trips to the record store. When I first saw the album cover I remember saying..." I got to have this album. I remember going into a store called the RECORD BAR. Anybody remember this music store chain in the 70's???? Anyway, they had the promo poster of "Songs In The Key Of Life" hanging up in the store. It was hung right besides a poster of Louis And George Johnson(I have a sharp memory--sorry to be so detailed). Anyway, I would pick up the album and just look at the front cover. Stevie was in the zone then. You couldn't get away from his songs being played all on the radio(pop/R&B and rock station played songs off this album--96rock WQKI-AM would play "Contusion" regularly) from one of the most anticipated album EVER!!!! I remember one time my mom told me that she wasn't going to buy the album for me. I went out to the car and started shedding tears...I wanted that album that bad!!!!! Well just as fate would have it. My grades came out for the school semester and I had pretty good grades. My parents were very happy for me. Well we went out to Richway(a Walmart type of store chain in the 70's) later t

Just a mention too for Edwin Starr. saw him take the stage at a SW gig in Birmingham Uk. They all did a tremendous version of War and then Starr did part time lover. Ironic he should pass at this time?
Still hopeful for May/June but I think he may wish to include a number relevant to events in the middle east andmay be awaiting outcomes...felt this happened around 9/11 too as it was touted for release just prior to that event also.

Take care

My sentiments exactly re the drum machines. Good point also re the Synths being themselves and not substitute instruments Dave. The sequencers are like goddamed nucleaur clocks. They're too predictable and accurate. I think you have seen it Dez but this article
http://ww2.mcgill.ca/psychology/levitin/stevie_p1.html
Covers the machines. The interviewer talks about the machines not having the same uniqueness as the drums. With the drums the wheight and time of each stroke is slightly different. Unfortunately Stevie doesn't seem to bite and even speaks of letting the machine go to see what it comes up with itself. Now as I see it that would be a machine and not SW making the music.
I also hope the album does have more musical breaks on it. On CP I can only think of one on the end of "I'm new" When you think of how he with "Isn't she lovely" for example or others like Bobbi humphrey the flutist on "Another Star" took us on those solo journeys I recently (last 16yrs!) feel like I've missed out on those
One area I do like the synths though are those incredible base lines. I often wondered how he came up with ones such as "I love you too much" It occured to me recently though he had some good past examples. Compare it with the base on parts of "I was made to love her" Echoes?
Just a mention too for Edwin Starr. saw him take the stage at a SW gig in Birmingham Uk. They all did a trem

I agree with your comments on the drum machines versus
the live drum. The machine or sequenced drum in Stevie's music
keeps tempo, however some of the effect is lost, meaning the velocity that the . For instance
"Never in Your Sun" is a magnificent piece of work. Its modulation or key changes
are reminiscent of "Golden Lady" or "Summer soft". However this song and most of ISC suffers
from the then new-age drum machines. It seems all of the other instruments
have a very character roll in that they are not "looped". Yet the drum remains the same
leaving the song in neutral. In contrast "All I do" which has a live drum builds
either to the chorus or the break during the adlib( thinking baby...Bout you baby).

I'm hoping he goes for the more live effect on this album. Please understand that I love
his 80's output as well. I just felt we didn't get the mixture of live and electric
like the 70's. Maybe the secret lies in another collaboration with Cecil
and Margouleff.....that would be Wonderful!!!!

Peace and Love

Hello Stevie, what can I say to a talent like you. I was so young when i first heard 'songs in the key of life'. I truly love your music. I hope you keep the work and move on with more music, no matter what the sales. And I also would like to see you in a live performance. May peace and love be with you.

I’m not too keen on drum sequence/machines. The problem for me is that they often sound tinny and tend to be put on a repetitive loop (For your love). Contrast this to the richness of the drumming on “Sugar” for example.

For me its more than fine when something like the Moog is being used as being an entity in its own right its not trying to copy another sound. Some of the synth instrument sounds, especially the drums, don’t quite hit the mark for me.

What’s your view on this?

Do you think well get an album in May? Sadly I have my doubts.

Hi and thanks for the reply.

Your right its great that there are others on here who you can not only appreciate his gift with, but also offer some hopefully "constructive points" which you know will be considered in the right spirit. Whats youre take on the use of the drum sequence machines?

Looking forward to the release too..getting some new speakers just for the event!!

I agree about the crammed in/slightly forced lyrics. ("of Six Million Jews... and a Hundred and Fifty Million blacks during slavery" or something to that effect) Conversation Peace is a great song but spoilt for me by this. (and I'm not entirely sure the latter is factually correct (but I may be wrong).

Really looking forward to the new album. There are always the chance of some real gems and songs that grow on me as I begin to really hear the message and the musical intricacies.

It’s nice to see that there are so many knowledgeable “Stevie” people.

Thanks for your reply. I was a bit unsure about making the lyrical point as I thought I may have been left high and dry on my own there!

My love is with you from CP also springs to mind. Another powerful message but too many lyrics to achieve the message for me. Compare it with Living for the city? Just short ever so effective one liners. Kiss lonely goodbye gets affected too - "For that little change may sadly mean that you to me fate wouldn't bring" I just find it a little frustrating as once I used to pick up the lyrics without looking at the sleeve. Suppose I'm just getting old!!

Take care

Stevie!! My name's Eva and like everyone here, I am a great fan of yours. I know you toured out here in Australia a few years ago, but I was just wondering if you were ever considering coming back, and if so WHEN? I am DYING to see you. Their was a contest on a radio station a few weeks ago about which ultimate performer you would like to see and the chance to win tickets to their show. I rang up and got on the air, and said, 'The ultimate concert would be to see Stevie Wonder live.' They were shocked that a 19 year old in this day and age would not want to see a punk/rock band. I replied, 'Stevie's music is for all ages, and will be forever.' Stevie, you have touched the hearts of so many on this earth and are truly an amazing human being. Im hoping that this is going to be read by the right person, and i definatly want the man himself to hear bout this, cos ive made a remix of "Superstition". I can almost hear the fan base gasp in horror, but you havent heard it yet. You have to trust me when i tell you ive kept it true to the original. Basically ive reworked/arranged it to be played on the dance floor of a house club. I havent ruined the original by trying to jazz it up in my own special way or anything like that. Theres no big sirens and electronic synths bouncing around it, and the vocals are still in tact. If anyone has heard the Billy Jean Bootleg that was kicking around in englands clubs last year, then you'll have an idea of what ive done to Superstition. i did try to get it pressed up on vinyl over here, to get into a few clubs, but no one will touch me because its bootlegging and cos it is so close to the original. To be complelty honest, money isnt what im after here, just the recognition and to hear it out on the dancefloor of a proper house club. But Ultimatly id love to know Stevie's opinion. Ive bin sitting on this track for about two months now, and its starting to hurt, people need to hear this, clubbers need to dance to it and i cant do anything with it. Please help me!!!

Ged,

I totally agree with your statements regarding Stevie's lyrical flow.
The song that comes to my mind is "Ms. and Mr. Little one".
(example: "but I don't think a parent would give a daughter a name so low").
There's no doubt there is a message in the music but, I felt he crammed
those large phrases in to the verses. Another song that comes to mind
that we hardly talk about which is a excellent song but suffers also is
"Cash in your face". I love how he plays opposite roles in the song,
but the verses again are crammed together.
(example: "Well in this apartment complex no children are
allowed if told me that I could've saved you allot of time")
These were things I started to notice toward the latter part
of his career. One the other hand "You haven't done nuthin'" is
a song where the lyrical flow matches the music beautifully.
Now that I think about it, its almost Stevie's take on Hip Hop..lol

Peace
Dez

You are blessed with the smoothest, sultrest voice I've ever heard and I just love your music and songs. My faves have got to be Isn't She lovely, Overjoyed and As. Way to go Stevie...my most favorite singer. Thank You for sharing that gift!

GedApr 9, 2003 (09h50)
bk thanks for the info my friend

I too like you have many fave stevie backing artists. Suppose mr consinsent there is Nathan Watts. I remeber the concert for the blind at the albert Hall a few years back. Seeing Nate strolling up the street to the stage door in shirt shorts and sandals with a cowboy hat on. Only 20 mins before the show! What a guy and what size! that bass must have to be 6ft long! I was fortunate to go backstage at wembley once. All the band were very courteous, Keith John especially, and of course the man himself. I hope the drum machine gets a rest for this album too. Does anybody else share my opinion re his lyrics too? I think he has a tendency recently to overcomplicate them, disjointing the flow to fit them or get more in. An example suppose would be were he used to pen lines like "I can't believe what god has done- through us he's given life to one" or "You must have known that I was lonely-because you came to my rescue" He seems now to cram in things like "for minniscule is any light-if it can't like you brighten up my soul" or "But one glance from outside looking at our worlds state-clearly displays we don't appreciate" Now those are great sentiments but they loose something to me because people just wouldn't say them like that. I like him best with simple instruments, simple to the point lyrics. Anyone agree/disagree?

Hey Stevie! That song "Overjoyed", it touches my heart everytime I hear that song. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful voice and talented man to this world that we live in. On any day, whether be bad or good, you always make my day "FULL OF SUSHINE".

Hi from BK in the U.K.,
eh bonjour a Tillow.Je suis tout a fait d,accord,tu dois absoluement avoir un site francais pour Stevie.
Donnez-moi l'addresse quand ce serait fait!
Hi to Cecil...entirely agree with your comment on Don't Wonder Why fro the signed Sealed Delivered album.
Peace and love to you all.Robert Taylor gave me the first info about Stevies new album. The other hints have been given out on his radio station in the states.Twice mentioned infact. It has been suggested that a new single
will be released in May (by VH1)
So i hope he keeps his promise from the BET awardsshow. The funny thing is that he has consistently released new stuff in his birthday month
for over 35 years !
Any way quiztime folks
stevie sang with which baptist choir in his youth???
a)Whitestone b)Detroit boys c)Saginaw male.???
Name the only track by Holland out of the famous Holland /Dozier/Holland team issued by Stevie on a
single?
Name the Track Stevie plays on with Buddy Miles in the 70,s
Name the band Stevie played harmonica with in 1984
on the MCA label????
Name the song that appears in Bikini beach the film but not on a Stevie solo album????
Good Luck folks!!!!1

Hi from France !

Lately, i've had the strangest feeling, with a vivid reason i finally found: your music! It's great to listen to you ... and it's incredible to discover how much other musicians have "stolen" from your music. How do you feel about it?
Keep composing, please!

Hi everyone

Can anyone give me the actual name of the conceptual cover album and a catalogue number? I have to import it.
Whats the validity of the info for the album release and tour? You guys in the states obviously get more info..we get nothing! Speaking of the states..how doeas his recent material chart? His last mainstream uk hit (before the chart went bent) was Part time Lover. How about The USA mainstream chart?

Here's hopin and waitin and hopin and waitin and hopin and some more waiting...used to waitin!

Hello Stevie! I am 14 about to make 15 and people find it really hard that I love you and your music. I think that you are a black legend not only a black legend but a legend of all times. One of my favorite songs by you is "Ribbon In The Sky". I don't know why I like it so much like I do. When ever I have a son I want to name him after you, in honor. Your voice just knocks me off my feet. I just wish that I could hear you sing to me in person even though you will not see me, I just want to hear and see you. I really love you and almost everybody ask why do you like Stevie Wonder, don't you know that he is old, but I tell them that I am not worrying about your age I just recognize your talent and many other things about you but age is not one of the many things. My favorite album is Miscellaneous Songs. I LOVE YOU STEVE and I will continue to love you no matter what. I hope that someone read you my e-mail because it is truly from the heart and sincere. LOVE ALWAYS, NIKKI from New Orleans, Louisana at Alfred Lawless Senior High School.

Dear Stevie,
My perception of music changed, or better, started in 1976 with your album "Songs in the key of life".
Since then I was eagerly waiting for every album you made.
I have always been also very interested in your non-album work and collaborations with other musicians too. Could you please put a list on your site with all these songs?
As an example, I like your duet "What's that you're doing" with Paul McCartney and you playing harmonica on "There must be an angel playing with my heart" of the Eurythmics.....so many contributions!!!
But also non-album tracks like "Upset stomache".
Please, consider adding a new chapter to your site, containing all these songs that you made for movies or played or sang in over all these years.
Last question, from the bottom of my heart: is there any chance of getting the song "Truth is the light of the world", which you sang for Sammy Davis jr. (if I recall well) ?
Love,
Roland

Well , I won';t jump up and down just yetuntil I hear an officail announcment from Motown plus by now there should be a title for the album May 13th is only six weeks away and still no date for the release of the single. Lets hope this info is true has anyone heard any other news?
If the album is released i hope he puts this unrelased classic entitled ,'The Future' I have'nt yet heard this song but I have read its one of the best songs Stevie's ever written, I think the lyrics of this song will be applicable for whats happening in the world also ,'How will I know if she loves me'.

I can't imagine Love without you' songs like back to classic Stevie with those jazz voicings. i wonder how the finished product is going to sound.
I wonder if there will be birds tweeting in the backround like 'Overjoyed' and I can bet you there will be a harmonica solo in there somewhere.
Please Stevie use the rhodes and some drums played by yourself, i much prefer Stevie's own drumming them the drum machine.

Hey Stevie!!!!!! I love your music and am eagerly anticipating and hoping you will be going on tour soon!!!!!!!Please inform me
when you begin your tour.......

DezApr 4, 2003 (02h30)
Hello all,

Despite the current events in our time. I'm glad there are a few Wonder-heads
like myself still wandering in search of another album from Stevie. It appears
we may get out long awaited wish, plus a tour!!

Speaking of tours what made a lot of them great were
the singers and musicians of Wonderlove.
The cats and kitties could really sing and/or play. I know
Stevie's going to want to
bring the house down, so he's just got to bring his first string musicians on board.
I know Nate will be on hand. If memory serves, he been with Stevie the longest
(since 1974). I saw Stevie with Ray Parker Jr. in 2001. "Maybe your baby" just
wouldn't be the same with out Ray. Michael Sembello is worth mentioning as well.

Who's your favorite musician???

Holding my breath till MAY
Peace
Dez

bkApr 4, 2003 (01h21)
Stone the crows !!!!!!Got it right...nearly!!!
Stevies new album slated for May release.Typically in his birthday month!"I can't imagine love without you" is of course a classic ballad.I've listened to the track as performed on the B.E.T.award show.It will be interesting to hear how the track has been produced.
With the WAR in Iraq coming to hopefully a quick conclusion, and hopefully with as few casualties as possible,it seems as though the re-building of Iraq by
Iraq can then begin.
With singles being released of Stevie covers off the "Conception"album, and no doubt a tour to follow
i'll be eager to see the big old piece of cake perform!!
Its a great feeling to know that when Stevie said
"Will i make it?"...."Yeah you bet "was what he said.
I never have failed to get a buzz when i KNOW his new album is announced .ITS STEVIE TIME!!!!Time to take up a course in happiness ....clear out your mind...you will show yourself how to smile...And as for those damned politicians!!!!You haven't done nothing!!!!!Rejoice dear website lovers for soon this site will be overflowing with Stevie messages. To all those close guys who keep the faith AnotherMusician/Cube/StevieWonderGenius/Dez etc
Stevie is the sunshine of our lives.God bless Ya!

Hello everybody. Been gone for a while, glad to see some positive posts!! (with a few exceptions...lol). Well, I've been listening to the Stevie tribute album, and overall I'm pleased. I'm really fond of the Angie Stone, Marc Anthony, Brian McKnight, Musiq, and John Mellancamp tracks. If Motown and Stevie's plan was to put this tribute album out just to et us ready for the new material album due out in May (hopefully), well it worked. lol. I really am anticipating this album. On the liner notes on Stevie's "Secret Life Of Plants", he talks about his fans being patient, because he'll only put out his best material. That was 24 years ago when he was still radio popular. I am sure this upcoming album will be well worth the wait.

Hi Stevie,
I just wanted to say that I'm was sorry to hear that you lost your brother back in November. As Africian Americans we must change our eating habits because we are at a high risk for diabetes and coronary diseases. I lost my mother when I was 17 and lost my father when I was 21 to massive heart attacks. I was a vegetarian about 10 years ago but I started eating chicken again and I'm very dissapointed in myself. I'm trying to kick it again and take care of myself because I don't want to die at a young age like they did. Please take good care of yourself because you are the love of my life.

PhyllisApr 2, 2003 (20h30)
Hi Stevie I just realized that we both are the same zodiac sign (Taurus the Bull). They say the bull is very stubborn but you don't seem to be that way at all. My Birthday is April 30th and I'm 42 and I hear that you have one coming on May 13th. I love you from the bottom of my heart and everyday I listen to your Greatest Hits CD and sometimes become sad because I wish I was in California with you. I wish I could spend just one day with you hugging, kissing, and feeding you grapes under a fireplace. Also, I love all of your pictures on your website.

Hello Mr Morris, its very hard to summarise in a few lines how much your music means to me and many others in the world... I think what amazes me the most is how, despite your lack of vision, you see people and life for its true beauty... something i strive to do through prayer and deep thought... so many of your songs inspire me, motivate me and console or reassure me... personal favourites have to be the whole "innervisions" lp, "lately", "as" and pretty much everything you have done since your venture into artistic independance from Motown in the early seventies.... Lastly, I love to sing and I have to say that no artist's songs have ever affected my voice in such a great way as yours, the shear power and soulful force behind your songs truly brings out the passion in my voice, thankyou... :o) anyway my names Alex, I'm 19 from London UK, i sing and write poetry and lyrics, or try to at least, its been a great ambition of mine to sing with you or collaborate, i know it sounds so over ambitious but we all have to have our dreams...who knows , maybe someday or maybe not ... bye , take care, God bless you :o)

Dear Stevie

I simply love your all work. The sound and the power of your voice blows me away. I have been listening to your all albums trying to find a bad song which is impossible..
Especially thanx for MasterBlaster (Jammin') I think that this is the only song in the world cannot be covered. I do not believe anyone can give this performance by his or her voice...
This cover attempt can end one's career..
Also thanx for the Blame it on the sun!!! and A seed is a star, a star is a seed.. I love it..Absolutely perfect..Sir Duke
I am 32 years old.. If I could personally receive a email from you.. This would be a dream come true..
This earth needs a new album FROM YOU

Best Regards
Cem ULKU

Often I play your music for a wide range listening audience. There is one song that I am looking for "Purple Raindrops." It was on the flip side of "With a Child's Heart" in 1965-66. I'm on the school station in Detroit via Memphis,TN at 90.9fm. Do I need to call Cliff Winston?
