Hey all you fans out there. Vote for the three best Stevie albums ever:
My choices are: 1. Songs in the key of life
2. Innervisions
3. Where I´m coming from

Just want to add a thing about the setlist in Stockholm...
The instrumental (jazz) tunes that were played was:
"Misty" (by Erroll Garner) and
"Giant steps" ( by John Coltrane)
Great concert!!!

To the people complaining about the album not being released yet - What sort of fans are you?!?! If your gonna talk like that then do it somewhere else.

"Don't you worry 'bout a thing". Only I don't understand
the meaning of the lines "'cause I'll be standing on the side/
when you check it out." Would any kind anglophone help me?
Thank you.

Danny - I was at the Hilton - and yes it was a dream come true. I've not stopped talking about it and sure I won't for a while!! He was a complete gentleman and very nice to speak with, the aura of the man was just incredible.

Samson - How did you get your hands on A Time To Love?? I went into HMV and they had no release date. Also, I've not got anything from your msn, when will you send things.

Leo - My concert snaps really didn't come out at all unfortunately, so can't help there.

Also for any UK based fans - if you want some cool Stevie T-shirts check out American Classics in Covent Garden they've got some cool stuff.

Just listened the whole album "Journey through The Secret Life of Plants" again and come
to this idea? This was a Soundtrack album to a movie which was never released. Why they don´t
find a producer fot the movie and film it again with all the new possibilities of the effects they
have now. And of course Stevie record the whole album in a new sound again. What are you think
about this? Hope it´s not to silly writing these things!!!!(sorry again for my bad english)

to all the jerks on here who are DEMANDING an artist to GIVE THEM an album, You people need a life. I am a musician, and you cannot DEMAND artwork from a person. The same words are used by SADE for her absence. She writes when she has something to say. There's nothing wors than some JERK acting like an artist OWS you something. The man doesnt OWE you SquatStank! He'll write when he's ready, IF he ever WANTS to, IF EVER he wants to!And if Stevie wasnt without site, He'd probably put a Very supersticious Shoe up ya Mistra know it all butt And "Knock You Off.....Your Feet!"LOL

SHERROD BROWNJul 29, 2004 (08h30)
Jouney through the secret life of plants is stevie's greatest moment. It is mostly instrumental using various musical styles from around the world, and even uses the sound effects of nature as music beds (some in sync with tne music, ALL done before digital editing and samplers!)He evenhas a 2 minute bed of birdsong on the album after a solo song by his exwife the late syreeta (who had a top 20 hiut with BORN AGAIN with Billy preston) There are no radio freindly songs but Send one your love. YOU MUST get this album if you are into relaxation CDs!!!!!!!!!! This is Zone out and shut out the world music For SURE!!!You REALLY want to do something... Play a "Rain and THUNDER" while listening to this WONDER!LOL

SHERROD BROWNJul 29, 2004 (08h18)
Lastly, Id like to relay an idea Ive had since I was 10 (Im now 36) A movie called "alicia in Wonderland" featuring a very young black actress who came up in the inner city with a very poor disposition on life, school, the whole shbang. Like alice in wonderland, she is brought "down to size" into a wonderful world small enough for her to see the Nature growing under her feet at a city forest preserve. Throughout her journey, she learns the importance of God's Creation, Preserving it, And preserving her OWN beauty as well as a young black woman. Similar to what the WIZ did for the Wizard of Oz. Thge ENTIRE SOUNDTRACK(and not remixes by no Glory Grabbin, No talent, Run up the scale too much,TEEN AGE singers NEITHER but the REAL TRACKS) of Journey Through the secret life of plants would be used as the score. (listen to the album, read the lyrics and titles and you will see the vision) Take care, and stevie... STOP saying youre gonna HAVE an album and CHANGE YA MIND!!!!It started in 2001 with this!LOL That album's gotta have 600 songs on it by now!LOL

I remember seeing a video clip a while ago, of Stevie Wonder doing
covers of "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" & "Close To You" on a vocoder.
If anybody know from which concert the footage came from, or how I
could obtain copies of either the footage or just the sound recording
of it, I would be very happy.

Hi there, I've been looking for a song which I believe is by Stevie Wonder, but for the life of me I can't find a name for the song (I heard it just the once).
All I have to go on is the chorus/hook that I vaguely remember... it's along the lines of, "And I don't wanna bore you with this/lately/??? , Oh girl I love you. I love you, I love you"
Of course, I may have got it completely wrong and it may not be sung by Stevie Wonder! But I would appreciate it if anyone could help me out... I really enjoyed the song!

stephenJul 27, 2004 (06h14)
stevie i wonde(no pun intende) if you will ever get to here this message, but i felt i had to tell atleast your fans what my eldest son richie thinks of you. he is 5 years old, very inquisitive about you, and plays your music all the time. he has many questions like, will he be in concert soon, can we go see him, can we go visit him?...etc... he is amazed that you cant see and wonders how you can play so well. "how does he do that?", he asks all the time and " and " could he ever see?" he is really concerned that you have never seen your parents. bit the main reason i am writing this is that he asked me a question that took my wife and i by suprise and really couldn't believe he asked this next question. richie asked, " can stevie see his dreams?" we almost cried at his most amazing question. i responded by saying he may not be able to see them but he is creating and satisfying dreams while he lives his dream. i do hope you find this message well and that you will always be in the hearts of even your littlest fans.

benjaminJul 27, 2004 (02h54)
i advise you to buy the cd of Franck mccomb , "the truth" , the sound looks like at the stevie's sound , it's unbelievable ! he's got the voice of Donny hathaway and the sound of stevie ... you can imagine how the cd is .... the singer Donnie does the same soul like him , and this cd "the colored section" is also very well . ask me if you want some songs of this cd . bye .

TomJul 22, 2004 (21h00)
I am a huge Stevie Wonder fan from London who flew to Stockholm for the concert which was undoubtably the best three hours of my life. The whole show was absolute magic and I was moved to tears on more than one occasion. I was lucky enough to be staying at the same hotel and actually met the man himself which was surreal to say the least. Stevie was a complete gentleman and let us take a photo with him with us which I will treasure until the day I die.

Also thanks to the people of Stockholm, you have a wonderful city and your kindess and hospitality was great.

Danny - thanks for the play list - was hoping I could track that down!!

Samson - I tried to email you for the photo's but it said the email address didn't exist - can you please send them to me as mine didn't come out at all.

Finally - Big Love and respect to Stevie - a true musical genius.

I saw Stevie a couple of days ago in Finland (Pori Jazz). I saw him also 20 years ago in Helsinki and I was a little bit afraid to see him again, because the previous concert was really good and I knew that he could not beat it now 20 years after. I was right about that, but still I have to say that the concert in Pori was ok. 20 years ago Stevie ended his concert with a song "I just called". That was the first time I heard the song and after listening his good songs for two hours it sounded terrible. Somehow I felt sorry for Stevie in Pori, because he got the biggest applause after that same 'terrible' song...

I managed to take a couple of my phone but you cant see anything!!

"Wish i could tell you, what I am feeling, but, words won´t come for me to speak."

Ok, let´s try..

Home again from Pori :( Oh my God. I never wanted the concert to end. I could have spend the rest of my life there!
Feels so empty now... it´s so hard to come back to earth from heaven after an experience like that! I hope I will see Stevie again some day..

Frode you were right.. never imagined I could love Stevie more, but my love for him just grows stronger all the time.
He is truly the sunshine of my life.

Teemu I was so jealous seeing you get those drumsticks and also cause they allowed you to dance when we couldn´t. =/.

One of the most toutching parts of the concert was when they played Lately. People were so moved that they cried.
I was also very surprised to hear Send one your love. It´s one of my favorites but I never imagined I could hear it live there in Pori.
A happy surprise!
2½ hours of Stevie was more than I could ever have hoped for and I´ll always be grateful for this wonderful experience.
Thank you Stevie for bringing the sun and for saving this summer!!!

Hello Stevie! I wanted to say that I offer my codolences regarding the recent passing of Syreeta. Also I want to say that you are my most favorite singer in the world. I have you singing on my answering machine for my home number and on my cell phone. I get a lot of positive comments from people when they hear the singing on my phone. I play your albums in my car when I give people rides. I played "Ribbon in the sky" for my friend the other day and she loved it so much that she kept playing the song over and over again! I saw you at the House of Blues too and you were fantastic! I think that was a good idea you had for making a dvd of the show and giving everyone one afterwards. I am an L.V.N. and I go to school with my patient. Her teacher's name is John and he tells me that he used to be a security guard for you and that he has spoken with you before. He says that you are a cool person. I think that is is really cool that there is a forum like this where you can say stuff about Stevie Wonder. I wonder if you really read all this stuff that people say about you? I have a question. There is a song on the movie John Q that was starring Denzel Washington. That sure sounded like Stevie singing on that movie. Was that really him or is that just my imagination? If it was Stevie, how can I get a copy of that song? I hope you enjoy performing in Sweden!! Lots of Love! from Merry Joy

Dear Stevie Wonder,
I am a big Norwegian fan of yours, who was only a little bit to young to see you when you visited Norway in the early 90s. I was just about to give up hoping that you would ever come back again, when I this winter (or was it early spring) read that you were comming to visit Molde jazz-festival. I live in Oslo, far away from Molde, but I knew that I was going to that consert no matter what(!) Me and my family were still planning our vacation, and we were thinking about going to Morocco, where my father's from, and where half of my family lives. But I made them change theyr minds, and dragged them and a friend of mine to the less, but still very exotic place, Molde. (Morocco can wait untill the easter comes). And I have to tell you; It was so worth it! You are such a great artist, and the way you played with the audience... I can't even describe it! And I am so greatful for the fact that you were able to come and do the consert under the sircumstences. I'm really sorry for your loss, and it was beautiful that you dedicated the concert to your first true love. That, and the fact that you played a part of "Norwgian Wood" captured me. It was all a true experience. So was the band and the choir girls (and boy), it was so great! I loved it when you filled the jazz part of the consert with (was it John Coltrane)? And I loved the way you tributed "Uncle Ray" with "What'd I say". That song has always cheared me up, and if you ev

Thank you so much for 2 hours and 40 minutes of total magic! The concert in Stockholm was without a doubt the concert I have ever been to
and it really gave the fans what we had hoped for. I read today in Expressen, one of Swedens biggest newspapers and the concert was rated
2 out of 5, which i really disgrace! It was really a 5 out of 5 and a concert cannot be much better than this! I am sure that all fans who were there
agree and we are all thankful for that you gave your very best to us. I wish you will come back to Sweden soon again! Peace and all the best!

A BIG THANK YOU to Stevie for the wonderful concert in Stockholm last night.
Although during the first two songs there was some problem with the sound, his

Dear Mr. Wonder I know how busy you must be but I hope that someone would take the time to let you know of the message I'm sending you today. The song, "As " is a song that is very near and dear to my heart. I have always told my childern how musch I love it and that every time a hear it I find myself in tears. The tears are not tears of sorrow but of happiness because you have compiled words that speak on the bases of how I really feel about my childern. I want them to know without a doubt that my love for them will go on even in the event of my passing. These words you sing are identical to my true feelings for them. Stevie I love them so much I couldn't express it as perfectly as you have. I don't know if you sang those lyrics for your children but I thank you for giving them to me for mine. I have requested that A portion of "As" be played at my funeral and that the words be placed on the program. I want everyone in attendance to know how beautiful your expressions are and maybe it will help them to express to a loved one how deep their love is for them. I give you all credit. I thank you and I love you for who you are because you have told your heart in song. Thank you, Bridgit Morgan

Mmm. what a perfect evening in Stockholm!
Stevie in an utter outstanding form was performing with his MAGICAL voice...
A great list of songs, a STUNNING performance, a wonderful sense of humour (I laughed a lot :),
satisfying 3 hours (almost) lenght of a consert!.
What a crisp voice! I didn't expect him to be THAT good... LIVE...!
I love his warm way of communicating with the audience. I felt sad when he told us about Syreeta, even if I knew already.
Didn't know if I were supposed to laugh or cry, I didn't decide and started to laugh as a crazy man while Stevie simply just played...
I don't know exactly how to explain this but it was as if one could feel him out there... he was present! Wow, what a charisma...!
Also I enjoyed him being the teacher and we (the audience) being the students in his "music class"... :)

To sum up the night, all these feelings, they were just plain great!

TobiasJul 18, 2004 (20h04)
Dear Stevie, me and my girlfriend went to your concert in Stockholm yesterday and we were both deeply moved. We just want to leave you a note here and say THANKS! No words can describe the feeling we got from you and your band. We have always known that you are the number one singer/musician there is out there, but it was great to hear that you´re still going strong. You´re better than ever and we love the new songs. Much love from Sweden, please come back soon.

Now I have very high expectations and I think after the concert I too will love Stevie even more (..if it´s possible..).
I did see interviews and peaces from Molde´s concert on tv. It was so weird..
the reporter was talking to the camera and they were very close to the stage when Stevie was playing.
That was on the news yesterday, so we are really waiting for him to come here.
It was also toutching to see Stevie talk about the situation of the world today and also about his new son and grandson.

I would like to know if it was also forbidden in Molden for the audience to bring cameras to the concert? And if it´s forbidden i Stockholm...?

I´m going to Pori on Sunday to see Stevie :) Thanks for those who told a little bit about what happened in Norway, about the songs and the atmospehere... sound soooo exciting! I can´t wait to finally see him and hear him. I was kind of relieved to hear that they played so many old songs and only couple of new ones. It would have been great to be familiar with the new songs before the concert, but if he plays only couple it will be very interesting to hear... but I´m still looking forward to hear all the great songs from the old days. Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing, Higher Ground, Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours, You and I,
I Wish, Isn't She Lovely, What the Fuzz ( from upcoming album ) and True Love...

The statue and the stoneJul 15, 2004 (20h12)
Hi Stevie, how are you? How was your concert? I am sorry to hear Syreeta went away - may her spirit be saved by the Eternal Father. -If we accept the theory that King Nebu's dream of the statue in the book of Daniel in reality represents someone as the image of God, the body of someone as the symbol of his congregation and someone as the social system, with the golden caste on top and the iron and the clay (workers and polluted workers) at the feet, it would mean Karl Marx is the stone which breaks the statue: Marx speaks to the feet, the working class, and his classless social model will fill the earth... whether Marx was aware of this possible interpretation and his historical role as the stone is not impossible - but was he?... you see, a literary and religious critic of his magnitude should have known the scriptures well enough before judging religion as "opium to the people"... which, by the way, leaves us with the classic question: marxists say religion is opium, causing hallucinations, believers believe they are awake and lead a drug-free life; which interpretation is correct?... and is there a possibility both answers can be correct simultaneously?... and what are the practical consequences of deciding which interpretation is correct?... whether the career and works of Marx were in reality produced and promoted by the Jews is a radical hypothesis and well worth a careful academic examination... it seems Marx did not meet any protest violent enough to stop th

Normans in SicilyJul 15, 2004 (20h02)
"And in paradise one can drink as much Elephant lager as one wants, walk in Puma or Tiger shoes, and be a member of the Leopards Masonic order". (The Book of Rolph, Last Chapter:Last Verse) ... but the funny thing about this Kingdom of the Two Sicilies is that if one searches the Collins English Dictionary using the entries Sicily and Naples, one has two completely different pieces of information: one says this kingdom already existed in the 12th century, the other one mentions the year 1815... It also says that Sicily was in the hands of the Normans in the 12th and 13th century, which is interesting... The Vikings came to Britain in the 11th century... That they sailed to the Mediterranean is well-known; that they were there before the birth of Saint Dominic (about 1170) could provide a rational explanation to why they say Dominic's last name is reported to be Guzman (I have wondered whether it is a coincidence that this sounds like English or a Nordic language: "Guds man", God's man... Whatever the truth, this is an interesting historical detail... and whether the yellow color of the yellow press is the one called "Naples yellow" is as yet unclear, but the yellow press was begun in New York about 1900, in the days of the Black Hand, well before the Titanic went down and the last days started in 1914...

Regarding the recent mails, "from him to him" etc. What are you going on about! Its as bad as the efforts of "brotherman", who are these people? I believe God's truth is given to those who seek it through the Holy Spirit in a powerful/direct but gentle and unconfused way. Not through, as I put it before, "confused riddles". Some people no doubt are, by God grace, revealed more of what is to come than others but when they orate it or put it to paper the common spirit would cause the message to ring true to all believers and inspire others. All you are doing is causing major confusion, acting on behalf of the enemy of truth in my eyes. And might I add, is your message really apt for a Stevie Wonder forum anyway, just it seems because he is going to Sweden? If it’s as bad there as you suggest surely the presence of a Godly man wont do any harm?

For Norwegian & Swedish people (especially)
So, I bought a ticket for Stevie’s concert in Stocholm Stadion around 90 Euro and I would like to sell it for at least 30 Euro, ‘cuz I cannot go there (the fuckin’ job!) actually I’m already going to jazzfest in Molde-Norge (he’ll play there) well, if you need my ticket for Stevie-Sweden just call me +4791846289 , I think it’s a good deal :-)

This Norwegian defence real estate sale to Smith's Venner seems like money is transferred from one side of the table to another, as Napoleon sells to Napoleon… But what I ask is how can Africa become an equal actor in the world market if the financing always comes from the rich countries and they take a lion’s share of the profit? - And finally, i remind that if they make you worship a machine, however powerful and ancient, it is still just a machine making use of God's natural laws. If we are being made to worship any such piece of technology as divine, we are worshipping a false god. I believe God needs no other technology to communicate with us than that which develops in our bodies during the pregnancy. The true God, Father, who created everything, is much bigger and beyond our reach in all ways. We could test this theory by turning the machine off. I am not afraid of what happens if it is being turned off, or however it may resist this being done. Jesus said, do not be afraid of those who can harm your body (and mind) but cannot touch your eternal soul.

Cave parable of PlatoJul 13, 2004 (18h40)
"As yet we see all of it as it were, in the (Sunday) Mirror, but a day will come when we shall see it eye to eye..." But, eh, in some ways the prophecies of Nostradamus, Michel de Notre Dame, not to be confused with the Cosa Nostra, bear some truth, eg. the last Antichrist coming from the Nordic countries… something about finding out too late someone is not serious… no, not me, I am serious, but in a different way than they, and that has become a problem to them… but the prophecy is incorrect: it is not too late, it is never too late for God to correct the human mistakes… and why do I say all this: Smith, Corleone, or Napoleon, or whatever you call it, would have liked to own my music and the income… Karel... Roman Abrahamovitsh...

And the Rosetta Stone found in 1799, and the translation of the hieroglyphs… and the birth of Mormonism… birth of Liberia, Brasilia becomes an empire, insignificant events perhaps… And even the lower priesthood has more power than any political ruler, said a missionary… Spanish Inquisition (is said to have been) demolished in the 1830's...Why list things like this?… because, you see, the obvious explanation is that Nordic system resembles the Hindu caste system: priest and teacher on top, warrior and ruler next, then the commercial sector, then the laborers, and finally the polluted laborers, or pariah… And of course, the fire which destroyed their holy town of Turku 1827, was just a terrible accident, just like the Great Fire of London in 1666… my goodness, the number of the beast… if you confuse Turku with Turkey or Turkmenistan, and Finland with India, examine the possibility that you are a Confucian :)… and yet…

You and my big mouthJul 13, 2004 (18h13)
Let me tell you about the king of the south and the king of the north… why do they call the certain copyright income “royalties”… does that mean no democratic republican will ever actually it could read: the king of Sweden and the king of Norway… why the royalties should hide their real faith? Because the law says the king of Norway must not represent any other church than the Lutheran… which of course is a terrible offense against the freedom of religion, i.e. the human rights… but I was about to say there was this Kingdom of the two Sicilies consisting of Naples and Sicily, formed in 1815, in the year Napoleon died on a distant island, and supposedly was not resurrected in South America, Africa, North America, Australia, or Sweden, or anywhere else… like Joseph Smith was not resurrected in 1844, and his death was not a theatrical act of being promoted to an underground government, like Abraham Lincoln’s death was not, and he did not move abroad, but for some reason the Adventists awaited the return of Jesus until the autumn 1844, and as he did not return, Ellen G. White got her first visions… one prophet dies, another is born… but where was I: in 1818, Sweden has a new king, Karl Johan (should not be pronounced like Corleone, oh no)… The holy book says Nephi got the power because he was more righteous than Lehi, and I cannot help it but every time I read that I think of Napoleon and Louis XVI of France, and I Wonder, Stevie…

I like cars with good practical properties, a smooth and handy design is just one of them… and with their wheels on the ground, not luxury... luxury does not come without a price... to me luxury means pretending one is better than one is… it is no myth that one has to sell one's soul to the devil to live in prosperity, the 40 first years in my life have proved it... no, i was never rich... they were… at my cost… they sold their soul… but i have made no promise of monk-like poverty, either, as it is written that the worker is worthy of his wages... but is the victim of severe media industrial espionage worth anything but being a slave who only deserves an anonymous whipping every day... I asked to have my holiday money for the past 6 months in advance to be able to move into a better flat, I do not even have a kitchen of my own, let alone a shower room... the answer was no: you can have 162,60 Norwegian Kronor extra on the 20th of the month, and on the 10th of the next month they will reduce that from your salary... That is what you get in a country led by a group of people who organize a food strike just to be able to publish an ad of their church in the paper, asking "How do you tackle obstacles?"…

What a good opportunity to map their contacts and possible financial transactions! there, do you see now: Danielsen - now I do not know whether it means Danish (well, Knut the Great spread his power quite a bit, and the current Rock town Roskilde "the Source/Spring of the Rose" ... do not confuse with the Rosicrucians... or the Trondheim soccer team, Rosenborg... ha ha... was the capital of Denmark in those days...) ... But where was I: Danielsen... it could also point to the book of Daniel... the king of the south, the king of the north... what will you find if you search the Watchtower cd-rom with that entry? ... an interesting account... But hey, if you play, you should play at least Another Star, one of your very best songs, a slightly neglected pearl, and Black Man... nice, simple basic idea in that text... my goodness - if the additional part of the very last song does not resemble Michael Jackson's Bad, or vice versa... hoo, hoo, ya know, ya know-ah! ... but anyway... that one can hear Rolf Schumacher at the Assembly Hall spreading obscure own prophecies of a paradise where one is given a shower by one's favorite elephant and one can drive around in a black Jaguar - do you know to which Finnish musician the name Jaguar relates? - does not make the religion any more street credible... it only shows one can believe in what one wants to...

Certainly this Oscar Smith, and this King Oscar, have no connection to the name of the Hollywood award, Oscar. Yet the public face of Norway, as that of many other countries, can be called a theatre... But remember, that the wife in the famous play by Henrik Ibsen the Norwegian "A Doll's House" (perhaps Puppetry were just as good a translation) - her name was Nora - ends up leaving "the doll's" home... and i cannot blame her... Let me tell you some more... There is a prophet in Oslo... I have met him on the street... he says he likes the Hawaii weather, which, of course, must mean he likes the Jehovah's Witnesses, since his sister lives at Enebakk (you see, that is where the Assembly Hall is), and he keeps pimping her to complete strangers (you see, Hosea took himself a wife of fornication, Hosea 1:2, and stuff), well, anyhow, the prophet keeps telling me about this theatre, he calls it "the Bolshoy", and he tells me the owner of that theatre is not Russian (but this information could prove wrong), but that his name is Harald Danielsen... and that his son is a junkie... that they are changing his blood in Spain... I am not sure yet, whether it means the crown prince is a Jehovah's Witness, or is there a less sad ... but they did go to New York for a honeymoon - but Brooklyn? or the Bethel? We do not know... but the rumors have it some members of the family are moving to New York soon... what a good opportunity to map their contacts and possible f

Firstly, let me say this: 1) If I were you, I'd drop those Scandinavian gigs, there is sort of a lynching mentality ruling these barbaric parts. Lately I have begun go grow increasingly ashamed to be a Nordic citizen, as I witness certain fishy things, which are going on. 2) If I were the "religious" (correction: neoliberalist) church Smith's Wenner ('The Friends of Smith' (compare: the friends of Carlotta and the enemies Carlotta, as accurately expressed by Steve Martin), I would not purchase a damn thing from the Norwegian defence. First of all it is suspicious that any government should favor a religious group of this kind with such a business deal, or in any special way. Sure, these are no doubt friends of Joseph Smith, he conveyed to us the prophecy which must come true, else it would be false, that there will be churches in the last days founded only to make profit, and how well the prophecy has come true!; and indeed, friends of Adam Smith, how suitable for this profit-seeking church prophecy; and certainly friends of the founder of this religious group in 1871, Mr. John Oscar Smith, who of course has nothing, nothing, nothing to do with King Oscar of Sweden and Norway, whose reign started in 1872 and lasted until 1907 in Sweden and until 1905 in Norway - that is when Norway became independent. Today the Friends of Smith have branches in 60 countries. Certainly, certainly this Oscar Smith, and this King Oscar, have no connection to the name of the Hollywood t

I just wanted to extend my wholehearted sympathy to the family and friends of the lovely Syreeta. She was a most gift artist, singer, writer and poetess. Just listening to "Stevie Wonder Present Syreeta" is a testament to the wonder of her spirit. This album remains an all-time favorite of mine, only now it is laced with a trace of unbearable sadness. I loved the music of Syreeta, and those have yet to experience it, you it owe to yourselves to give her a listen.

Rest in peace, Syreeta. Perhaps now you and Minnie can harmonize as you once did long ago. Only now, you bless the angels with your heavenly voices. In peace and Harmour Love.

Size is importantJul 11, 2004 (18h25)
If one's strategic dimensions are 36-36-36, why should one purchase anything but a shirt of the size 36? I bought, however, today, Songs in the Key of Life, it sounds kind of less ominous than that MMM in the Music of My Mind. Gotta dash, happy landings.

THAT NOO BLACK MAGIC, INC.Jul 11, 2004 (18h09)
the relaxed, smooth, freely flowing virtues of melody and rhythm… an inventive, improvised polyphonic concert of the all the birds of the jungle… making you swing like the trees of the rain forest under a tropical storm… filling you with easy, spontaneous, joyous, hypnotic energy like Brazilian drumbeats… shaking your weary soul back into life like a powerful sermon embodying the precise and earnest verbal expression of authentic personal experiences… colourful, versatile, deep and harmonious like a gospel choir… juicy, tasty, variable and refreshing like a cocktail made of a rainbow of different fruits…. Capturing your whole being like a drug, but not a damaging one, not causing hallucinations, absent-mindedness or adverse physical symptoms… but with a nourishing, awakening, enlightening, purifying effect… all this could produce a new, reformed content of the presently negative term “black magic”…

You know, the thing is... I… I… I used to love milk… I used to drink large amounts of it every day… good white milk… and I used to like honey, too… I could not resist it… sweet and soft, but oh so sticky… then I fell for chocolate… milk chocolate in emperor-size boxes and huge bars… I thought I could not get enough… I didn’t, I can’t… I… Use your senses, they said… I did… all of them… but now… even that is not enough… No!… Add no milk into my chocolate!… it is too light, too refined, too insincere, too liquid… Only the strong taste of the dark brown pure original cocoa is good enough… they say mankind was born in Eastern Africa… what do they know?… yet this must be the very reason behind the mystic, instinctive, magnetic natural attraction to the heart of Africa… the romantic interpretation… back home… back to the clean, happy state of innocence and unspoiled freshness… like wild animals living tamely side by side in paradise…

By listening to it i understand how much effort it took to make it.

It's been a long long time since i have left a message or post on this site, but I came on to give my condolecenses
to the family & friends of Syretta Wright, she was a beautiful lady with a beautiful voice & spirit. According
to Berry Gordy, Syretta was 1 of his favorite people as well as favorite singers, Syretta was very underrated
as a singer. She co-wrote some great songs with Stevie like If You Really Love me,Sign,Sealed delivered
Never Dreamed You'ed leave me In Summer & other classic songs. Anyway my thoughts & prayers are with
my idol(Stevie Wonder), Syretta's family & friends. R.I.P. dear departed sister(SYRETTA WRIGHT)

Another StarJul 10, 2004 (14h22)
Hello I´d like to say something about a woman who wrote some words to Stevie
last year (Dec 9) on this forum. Sadly I have to say that she passed away almost
two months ago. She was a singer in Italy and much popular in the sixties. She sangs together with
Stevie at the great Festival at San Remo the song "Se tu ragazza mia". Later
she has no more chance to establish her carreer as a musician which caused her
depressive moments.
RIP Gabriella Ferri

I know that is a little late but I thought this is important.

its not like this should come as a surprise and its not like you have heard it before, but there is no question that you and forever will be the greatest musician to ever sing or play a note. as a young man who loves to sing, you are an inspriation and a role model for me and for that i give more gratitude than one can conceive. being only 14 i would say i am the only 14 year-old, i know, who adores your music. i play all four of your greatest hits cds beginning to end singing right along with you to every word. you voice is somthing to stop and not only listen to, but really feel. whenevr i sing along with you, as if worthy, i only get a mental picture of you outstanding contagious smile that brightens the world. your influence with your heavenly sound is the "sunshine of my life". forever i give you gratitude as you are the reason i sing and have a love for music. God bless you.

HI Stevie Wonder. My name is Noni Carter. I am a 13 year old fan of you and your music. You are my favorite singer out of everyone I've heard. I marvel at how you can play the piano as well as sing like you do under your condition. I also play the piano (I have to work on singing.) But I've been playing since I was four. My two sisters, 10 and 11, also play very well. We play classical, jazz, and basicly anything that you place in front of us. But I know "Ribbon in the Sky" abd "You and I" and I'm learning "Lately" as well as "Overjoyed." I love the impovisation you did on "Ribbon in the Sky." My favorite songs by you are "Knocks me off my Feet" which I'm trying to learn by ear, and "Lately." I can't wait until your CD, a time to love comes out for I will be their buying it. Also, if you just happen to go on tour, you can bet I'll be right there probably video taping you singing. Thank you Stevie Wonder for being one of the main inspirations in my young musical career!

I do not know the career of Syreeta Wright, but let me tell you that I have adopted a principle - not a prince, no, I will not be the nursing mother of princes and princesses, they live affluently without me, neither will i allow a royal person to be my children's nursing mother, no, that would be a legalised kidnapping, and no, they will not be allowed to blaspheme against the sacred role of a wife approved to her holy duties by her husband and God, no, the only nursing mother my children will have is their natural mother, plus the clumsy occasional help from their natural father, that is me... OH MY GOD!... how will i ever manage... perhaps there will be a babysitter the mother and i will possibly together decide to employ. But I just wanted to tell you about the principle, not the prince, i have adopted that i will not give sexual favors to anyone in order to get my music distributed, neither will i accept sexual favors from anyone to open the door for them to use my material. Business is business, and my business will be decent and be based on musical skills and nothing else. I know my material is good enough, just like Cher's Believe, Lighthouse Family's High etc. are good enough, and i know musical talent when i hear it. There is really no room for slutty practices. I did not have time to go and buy Music of My Mind today. But what's the hurry? -Please bear in mind the safety cautions i sent you, as you come to Cosa Norway, Stevie! Syreeta, you will be missed. Your music will forever paint beautiful music pictures in my head. Thank you...

Does anyone else agree that she was one of the most underrated artists ever???

JACOBJul 9, 2004 (18h49)
Moanman, those words for Syreeta were poignant and beautiful. I have to agree. I discovered Syreeta about four years ago when I was 18 when I purchased
Stevie Wonder Presents Syreeta on CD. I was so moved by her by her angelic voice, a voice so familiar since it was sprinkled on many of
Stevie's recordings, yet so distinctive and powerful in it's own right. This album, along with her Mowest self-titled debut, are among my favorite albums
of all-time. Her radiance, her poise, her delicate vocal phrasing, and Stevie's genius behind her, she created some of the most beautiful music ever written or recorded.
This summer has been a tumultuous one for many, including myself, and for some reasons beyond me, I couldn't get Syreeta's music out of my player for the first part of the summer. Songs like Heavy Day, Black Maybe, Cause We've Ended Now As Lovers, Universal Sound of the World, Come Back As A Flower, and even non-Stevie compositions like One to One, She's Leaving Home and With You I'm Born Again are among my favorites that will stand the test of time. When I ultimately read of her passing as I browsed the Billboard website, I was more than saddened. Why had I been so keen to listen to her in weeks before her death? It's both eerie and comforting. Through her music, I felt (and still feel) like her soul is speaking to me, much like Stevie. My most sincere condolences to Syreeta's family and
friends, including Stevie. Thank you Syreeta. You w

Hello, I'm new 2 the forum. I would like 2 start off by saying that I'm 29 yrs. old and I've been listening 2 Stevie Wonder's music 4 as long as I can remember. I think the first album I ever listened 2 was 'Songs In the Key Of Life'. It has my favorite song from any artist, 'Knocks Me Off My Feet'. I keep up with a lot of new release dates and I noticed that 'A Time 2 Love' was scheduled 2 be released later this month (July) and has been pushed back. Does anybody on the forum know why or when the new release date is? On CD Universe it's telling me December 31 and I know they usually don't call release dates that far in advance. I was looking foward 2 hearing some new music from my favorite artist really soon but I guess I'll have 2 wait a few more months now. So dissapointed.

Hope this helps. Still hoping that the new album (whenever it comes out) tops them all!!!

One is supposed to pour out one's heart to God, so I am not afraid to tell you exactly how it is. I feel it was brave of Nora to approach a leader with that unexplained, slightly aggressive attitude, as if testing my heart and kidneys by pretending to know more about me than she really did. But I did by no means feel insulted. From the professional viewpoint, she had shown initiative, which is good. That mysterious event proved her different from the rest of the workers, and in a positive way. As I have seldom met such behavior after that, I have begun to respect the experience, which I was unable to express at the moment when it happened - but I fear it might have been misinterpreted, so it was probably for the best that I could not think of a good reply at that moment. Let me say it now: Thank you, Nora, but don't let it go to your head. Keep up the good work! Let me also put in a good word for Mr. Charles Mugisha, Mr. Jonas Tumwesigye and Mr. Augustin Ofordu, only to mention those who in my opinion were the very best. Thank you for your acquintance, sirs. You, too, will be very welcome to work with me again, perhaps not quite yet, but in due time, once we "get on with the show". And let the white man point out that the mentioned individuals are all black, so let no one look down upon black people as a race or a class. There is no valid substantiation whatsoever for that. Thanks again, Stevie, for your great music, especially i like the impression of improvisation

I was thinking of buying your Music of My Mind tomorrow, would you recommend that or is there another one you prefer? I already have Conversation Peace, Fulfillingness First Finale, Hotter than July, the Musiquarium and Talking Book and they are brilliant. My favorites are probably Heaven is 10 Zillion Light Years Away and Boogie on Reggae Woman, but it is really hard to decide, they are all so good. I don't suppose you'll answer my question. Anyway, welcome to Norway! Then, sir, I would like to say something good about black people. I do not suppose you know the person in question but if you do, could you pass on the word to Ms. Nora Owusu-Bediako that if she ever should consider quitting in the Canadian, Norwegian or Larvik team, I believe Gibraltar, Grimsby and Blackpool are pleased and honored to have her playing in their team, the main strategy of which is "Keep our own goal clean". Let me tell you something. I cannot even recall what the slightly bitter and fiery between-the-lines remark was that she made in 2000, and I have hardly met her since, but the first impression and aftertaste of her behavior was darn good, honest. Her remark found no target in me, but I respected the guts, back-bone, good energy and a badly hidden tendency of straightforwardedness, and hopefully, decency - but what do I really know? Yet in a way she struck the bone. That short discussion left a positive feeling which happens very very rarely to me. And one is to pour out one's heart

Sometimes the passing of someone you’ve never met can affect you as deeply as a death in the immediate family.

For Syreeta:

Stevie Wonder was not blind to your loveliness. After all he married you, didn’t he? No. Stevie wasn’t so blind, and neither was I, as this teenaged sensitive way back when. I was enthralled by a girl in a white halter top, holding a red carnation. Nothing sexual, but all things sensual. That album cover, “Stevie Wonder Presents Syreeta” it was magic. Your liquid brown eyes called out to me in some odd recognition. I detected Everything about you right then: your shyness, your intelligence, your sadness and longing, your gaze that seemed to cry out tenderness. I felt that energy. It was caramel electricity. I related to it.

And then, I was mesmerized by this angelic manifestation of your voice, arrested by your poetry.

“I remember teaching you, on piano ‘Tea For Two’, and how you played it wrong, I kissed your
hand…”

How do I explain this insanity? It was love, adoration at first listen. I met your voice in junior high school. You took my foolish heart, ran away with it, and never gave it back. Your soft hypnotic soul shone through your voice. It poured like inspired molasses from your sad, but lovely face. And most of all, you understood me. Or so it seemed.

I wanted to know you, befriend you. Yes, I know,

For once in my life fanJul 8, 2004 (18h10)

HI STEVIE. I AM A 22 YEAR OLD WHO KNOWS JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT YOU. THE REASON WHY IS BECAUSE MY MOTHER IS A BIG FAN. SHE LOVES EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU. SHE THINKS THAT YOU ARE THE MOST GIFTED MAN THAT GOD HAS PUT ON THIS EARTH. SHE WAS AT ONE OF YOUR CONCERTS YEARS AGO. IT WAS A CONCERT THAT YOU GAVE IN NEW YORK. SHE TALKS ABOUT IT ALL THE TIME. STEVIE, I NEVER ASK A FAMOUS PERSON TO DO ANYTHING FOR ME BEFORE. BUT I AM GOING TO ASK YOU. I HAVE BEEN WISHING FOR MY MOTHER TO MEET YOU FOR AWHILE NOW. I LOVE HER VERY MUCH AND I WANT TO GIVE HER SOMETHING SPECIAL ALEAST ONCE. SO IF YOU COULD BECAUSE I KNOW THAT YOU ARE A BUSY PERSON TRY TO MAKE MY WISH COME TRUE. THANK YOU SO MUCH MR. STEVIE WONDER. BYE.

Rumour has it that, 'If your love can ever be moved'
is Stevie Wonder's new single.

I did a google search and got this from one of the websites,
If this is true then this song is stated as a Stevie classic.

I can't wait.

To Nick Ola!
I think you mean the song of Salome de Bahia "Outro Lugar"
It is the cover of "Another Star" from the ´76 SITKOL Album.
These version was produced by Bob Sinclair, which is known
in the European House Scene

Hello , i would like to know if stevie has made a song with the great Donny hathaway . I know that stevie has written a song for Donny hathaway and roberta flack (you are my heaven) but every day i hope to find a song where stevie and donny sing , but i find anything !!!! Donny Hathaway is an inspiration for stevie , so maybe they have sung together .... Please help me ... Also , i would like to know if stevie will give a show in Paris , and what is the real day where the album "time 2 love" will be on our store ? Last question , don't you think that the real stevie's sound is a melange of acoustic sound and electrical sound (like in 70's) and not only an electrical sound (like 80's and 90's) ? Thanks a lot . Bye .

To BK and others, wherever u are :
I like this forum and check it frequently - thanks to those who keep it alive ! I am a fan of Stevie's since I first got my hands on "Songs in the key of life" which I bought in Hungary 'cause it wasn't available in former East Gernany.
Great to hear that a new CD is coming, although delayed ... Even better, Stevie is coming to Europe (living in Berlin, that's what I've been waiting for since the fall of the wall ...) and I am going to Stockholm ! Almost can't believe it's coming true ! (By the way, I missed his House of Blues-Show in LA this February by just a few days and since I'm travelling to the U.S. quite often I would appreciate if someone here gave me a hint of future appearances in case the info is not widely spread ...).
Anyway, and still another remark : Does anyone have a video of Stevie's appearance at Oprah's show anywhere ? Iam slowly getting envious reading you all raving about watching the show on TV - I couldn't find anyone in Berlin with satellite TV to catch it on any of those U.S. channels ... what a pity ! Regards to all ! - HR

Guypanada

welcome to the club - it's been said on here b4. Real instruments - real horns - real people - Stevie bounces of others well
(See the SITKOL making DVD) too much synthetic sounds by synthetic people who end up on synthetic substance highs
in this world

bumpcityJul 2, 2004 (07h08)
guypanda, I agree with you on the synthetic use of electric components. I don't care too much for that sound. Plus,
I think that sound hides the true talent that Stevie has, the talent we all hear with his older 70's hits.

guypandaJul 2, 2004 (01h02)
First, I am a huge fan of Stevie. However, I can almost not stomach his newer material, ie "Conversation Peace" "Characters" and "In Square Circle"
After some intense listening I found my gripe with his new material. It his almost exlusive use of digital synthesizers and sampling. The sound ended with 80's pop culture and
admittedly is "cheesy"; it was then and is now. If the musical accompaniment could stay with acoustic instruments (especially the drums and bass) and not have that overproduced
synthetic sound inherent in modern throwaway pop, the material could be excellent dare I say rivalling his mega-classic albums of the 70's. (+ Hotter than July) I really believe he
could contribute some truly great work if he did away with that just awful sounding digital hodgepodge accompaniment.

I am 48 year's old and I still have desires to write song's, I,m interested in hooking up with some productor's from the Washington, D C area, or give me some contects on music studios that would be interested in my song's if I decide to put I'm mind to writing.
